Learning outcomes
The course is oriented on the historical development of the czech novel genre. It re-constructs the way of transformation of the poetical means by which the novel builds an "picture of the World" as well as the specific novel´s message. An importan part of this course is leaded by the comparation with contemporary situation of the novel in the connection with others european´s (or non-european) cultures.
The course will provide a basic overview of the processes in literature, art, philosophy and culture that formed czech novel in the first and second half of 20th century.
