Course content
1) The genesis of the literary work: a) the reconstruction of biographical context, work with biographical data, CV as a cultural construct, correspondence, diaries, memoirs as a source of literary historical data, b) the reconstruction of the literary life, literary magazine as the literary historical source, transnational contexts of Czech Literature c) literary movement as a literary historical construct (creation and redefinition) d) basic textological problems 2) the reception of literary works a) Constance School of Reception Aesthetics, Felix Vodička b) the reconstruction of contemporary critical acclaim of the literary work c) the so-called second life of the author and of the literary work d) problems of film adaptations of literary works 3) historical poetics a) diachronic dimension of poetics b) category of the literary genre as a factor of the literary development

Learning outcomes
The target of the item is introducing the crucial probléme latiny out by literary history as a specific subdisciplne of the literary critics standing between the arts and history.
Students will acquire the basic literary-historical patterns necessary for its independent research activity.
