1. Questions of multinational motivation changes in functional models of the literatury of the 19. century. 2. Limits and pitfalls of a positivist approach to literature. 3. Synoptic-pulsatile model of literary history 4. Receptionist horizons of the Czech literature of the "national revival" and the second half of the 19th century. 5. Comparative literature as a possible way of thinking about literature of the 19th century 6. Models of the transformation in relations between the Czech and German literature of the 19th century. 7. Gender approaches to Czech literature of the 19th century 8. The formation of the literary term Biedermeier in Czech literary history 9. Macha redivivus - the current debate about the work of Karel Hynek Macha 10.Karel Sabina - a reinterpretation of personality and work. 11.Bozena Nemcova - revised reading of the Babička 12. Learning outcomes |
The aim of the course is to document the latest knowledge of the literary history on the texts of the Czech literature of the 19th century. Analytical parf of the seminar wil focus on student motivation to apply the theoretical foundations to selected text of the Czech literatury of the 19th century.
Students will learn the basics of Comparative Studies as a discipline by working with textual material literature of the 19th century. |
