1. The Manifesto of "česká moderna" (the Czech Modernism) and its contribution to the progress of the Czech literature and art in general 2. The forms of the Czech naturalism and its "second life" in the prose of the 20's of the 20th century 3. "The rebels generation" and the prose written by its two central figures, Viktor Dyk and Fráňa Šrámek 4. The problems of human identity in Richard Weiner's prose 5. The genesis and construction of the character Švejk by Jaroslav Hašek 6. The manifestations of avant-garde in the Czech literature 7. "The epistemological trilogy" by Karel Čapek and its place in his thought 8. The conception of artistic creation in the context of the interwar historical fiction. 9. Lectures characterize the periods of development and the basic trends in the Czech literature between 1890 and 1945, introduce to the problems of poetics of the selected writers. Interpretation uses structural methods and phenomenology reading of literary works.
The basic knowledge of the Czech literature in the years 1890-1945. |

Very good knowledge of the Czech literature context and culture in general in the period 1890-1945.
