Course content
Topics: 1) The construction of the word in Czech, the shape-forming structure and the word-forming structure 2) Alternative and its functions in the structure of the wordform 3) Basic morphological processes in Czech 4) Classification of word classes in Czech 5) Structure of nouns, adjectives and pronominal inflection 6) Structure of verbal inflection 7) Structural specifics of numerals 8) Grammatical categories and their functions 9) Verbal grammatical categories and their functions 10) Specifics of Czech verbal aspect and Aktionsart 11) Dublet shapes and their style characteristics 12) Problems of inflexible parts of speech

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the basic principles of the construction of the Czech word, namely its forms and word-forming structures, as well as the understanding of the function of individual grammatical categories. This is connected with the safe recognition of parts of speech in Czech and the principles of their classification.
Basic orientation in the description of the prezent Czech morphological system, learning the basic terminology of morphonology and morphematics, knowledge of the Czech word structure
