Course content
|
The seminar deals with following topics: didactics of Czech as a foreign language; types of teaching; textbooks and other materials for teaching; mediating language (yes or no); socio-cultural competence; accuracy in speech; fluency in speech; selected language means; testing in language teaching.

Learning outcomes
|
The course aims to present differences between Czech, Czech for foreigners and Czech as a second language and to present language levels according to the CEFR. The course focuses on acquisition of Czech as a foreign language and on presentation of its language means.
Students of the course should be able to present the Czech language system, especially pronunciation, inflection of the nouns and conjugation of the verb to other foreign students.
