Course content
1) selecting a suitable text - consultations 2) understanding and interpretation of the text 3) The translation of the text, searching for translational solutions, consultions 4) elaboration of footnotes 5) Comments on translation 6) processing of résumé and keywords 7) the preparation of the text for publication

Learning outcomes
The goal is the translation of a selected foreign text from the field of cognitive linguistics and psycholingvistics to Czech (in the case of Erasmus students translation from Czech into a foreign language) and a translatological commentary. Students will be able to consult their translations with the supervisors from other philological departments. Final results will be published in the Reader of cognitive linguistics and psycholingvistics 2.
The development of translation skills, knowledge of foreign language text, stylistic skills, consultation with experts - footnotes, commentary, presentation in a workshop
Prerequisites
Knowledge of a foreign language, experience with the translation of scientific texts, knowledge of Czech stylistics

Student performance, Seminar Work

Individual work (in small teams), individual consultations with leader of the seminar and sith supervisors, the elaboration of translation and publication in the Reader of Texts, workshop
