|
This course provides students with information about current methodological and theoretical discussions in literary theory. After finishing this course, students should have a universal knowledge of the discipline and relevant cross-disciplinary subjects. Individual lectures are taught by renowned researchers, whose works constitutes the fundaments of literary studies on number of ranking academic institutions. Abstracts for relevant lectures will be made available continuously in accordance with the lecturer?s directions.

Prerequisites
|
General knowledge of basic theoretical and methodological issues of literary theory, and willingness to participate in discussions is required.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Systematic Observation of Student
Students are required to participate in discussion proposed for each lecture. Oral presentation of part of student?s PhD thesis (in best case the opening part of the thesis, at least 27 000 characters with spaces) is needed as a passing requirement. The presentation is also to be submitted in written form.
