Course content |
Typically the program includes the following topics: Methods of determination of protein structure. Introduction to metabolomics. Introduction to proteome analysis. Glycomics and lipidomics. Biosensors. Introduction to confocal and electron microscopy. Fundamentals of cloning and genetic engineering. Principles and applications of PCR. Cell cultures and production of recombinant proteins. Genetic transformation of cereals. Genetically modified organisms.

Obtaining specific advanced knowledge on modern trends in biochemitsry and related disciplines. Lectures given by experts on selected topics.
Define main concepts, ideas and principles of biochemical methods, outline procedures and strategies of biochemical methods. |

The course is intended for master students in Biochemistry and other chemistry and biology students.

Written exam
Obtaining at least 20 out of 30 points in a written test (answers to 15 questions, duration 1.5 hour) is needed to pass the exam. |
