Course content

As part of a practical exercise, students will perform a comprehensive evaluation of the humoral and cellular immune responses in mice vaccinated with the HIV-1 p24 antigen using standard immunological methods. The humoral response will be analyzed by determining the levels of antigen-specific antibodies using the ELISA method, followed by a functional evaluation of the neutralizing activity of the antibodies using a pseudovirus system that includes the preparation of pseudoviruses and the neutralization test itself. The cellular immune response will be evaluated by determining the antigen-specific response of lymphocytes based on the detection of intracellular cytokine production.
