Course content
|
Acquaintance with research directions at the department. Repetition and deepening of the knowledge acquired in the completed KBC/BCH lecture (Fundamentals of Biochemistry). Familiarization with research work in the laboratory and preparation for experimental work in the laboratory. Overview of basic biochemical methods, theoretical preparation of selected basic laboratory methods used in biochemistry. Discussion on the use of laboratory methods and solving practical problems. Output: As part of the project activity - resolved individual projects, or teams formed. Increasing the competitiveness of graduates on the labor market, strengthening self-confidence, independent thinking and the ability to engage in discussion.

Learning outcomes
|
Students will familiarize themselves with contemporary biochemistry subjects. Instruction emphasizes the application of theoretical knowledge in problem-solving, encompassing both independent tasks and project-based activities. The objective is to enhance students' capabilities in engaging in discussions pertinent to solving assigned tasks.
Deepening the knowledge gained by attending the KBC/BCH lecture (Fundamentals of Biochemistry).

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Student performance, Systematic Observation of Student
The condition for obtaining credit is 100% attendance at the seminar (with the option to substitute absence for serious reasons / alternative seminar work). As part of project-based learning, participation in discussions and presentation on a selected topic is required.
