Learning outcomes
The aim of the seminar is to introduce students to the topics for the elaboration of the bachelor's thesis in the next 3rd year. To acquaint students with various research groups in the field of biochemistry and thus introduce the workplaces where they can possibly work on their bachelor's thesis. Another aim of the seminar is to repeat and practice the knowledge gained in the parallel lecture KBC/BCH (Fundamentals of Biochemistry) and to better prepare for this important exam. The aim is also to strengthen the student's ability to process a biochemical topic and then present it in the form of a teaching lecture together with an exercise method intended for other students.
Obtaining an overview and information about workplaces in various areas of biochemistry. Introduction to the topics of the bachelor's thesis. Revision and practice of knowledge gained by attending the KBC/BCH lecture (Fundamentals of Biochemistry). Study of information on biochemical topics from the list for the biochemistry exam, their clear processing and presentation. Increasing the competitiveness of graduates in the labour market, strengthening self-confidence, independent thinking and the ability to present a given topic.
Prerequisites
The subject is taught in parallel with the course KBC/BCH Fundamentals of biochemistry.

Assessment methods and criteria
