Course content
General hematology, blood formation, blood compound. Blood elements and their function; blood plasma. Hemoglobin, its derivates and its evolution. Hemopoiesis, its phases and regulation and conditions. Hemopoetines. Physiology and pathology of erythrocytes. Anaemia. Polycytemy. Physiology and pathology of leucocytes. Leucocytosis and leucopeny. Physiology and pathology of thrombocytes. Thrombokinesis. Thrombocytopeny, thrombocytopaty and haemophilia. Lymphopoetic organes: bone marrow, thymus, lymph-nodes and spleen. Blood parasitic diseases. Haemo-oncology. Acute and chronic leucemia, lymphomas.

Learning outcomes
General hematology, Blood elements and their function; Hemopoiesis, its physiology and pathology. Hemoiopoetic and lymphopoetic organes. Haemo-oncology and haemocytogenetics.
Student is able to (after attending the course): - Describe individual proportions of this medically important branch - List significance, compound of blood and physiology of single blood elements - Explain the process of blood coagulation - Explain pathology of single blood elements, causes and manifestations of selected blood diseases.

Basic knowledge of biochemistry and human biology

Written exam

to gain 70% of possible points in the test in the extent of lectures
