Course content
Introducing new students to the following topics: - Palacký University with an emphasis on the Faculty of Science and the Department of Cell Biology and Genetics. - Organization of study at the university, organization and structure of the academic year, methods of verifying students' knowledge - State final exams, selection, implementation and defense of the bachelor's thesis - Study and examination regulations, rights and obligations of students, functions of the department sponsoring the study and the study department; non-faculty facilities - Physical and electronic information sources, CVT, establishment of VPN - Professional practice - Scientific research activity at the university

Learning outcomes
Acquaintance of students with the university environment and everything needed for successful study.
After completing the course, students understand the hierarchy and functioning of the university and are familiar with everything needed to successfully manage their studies and all its aspects.
