Course content
1. Introduction to plant cell biology, endosymbiotic theory, overview of methods 2. Plant cell wall, biogenesis, structure and function 3. Plasma membrane 4. Vesicular transport I - exocytosis and vesicular secretion 5. Vesicular transport II - endocytosis 6. Plant cytoskeleton, microtubules and actin 7. Signaling, perception and transfer of signals in plant cells 8. Ontogenesis and differentiation of plant cell 9. Nucelus and nucleolus, structure and function 10. Plastids 11. Mitochondria, peroxisomes, glyoxisomes, liposomes 12. Cell-cell interactions, plasmodesmata, polarity and interactions of plant cells with microbes
