Course content
As the Philosophy and the Science have been interconnected during all the evolution of the western world, the mutual influence of both is the main topic of the lecture. It is focused on historical and social context of the scientific endeavor. The point the Science is able reflect on itself, on the scientific truth, and on its influence on human life is stressed.

As the Philosophy and the Science have been interconnected during all the evolution of the western world.
Student is able to (after attending the course): - understand why, according to the greatest scientists, the philosophical point of view is important for any genuine scientific endeavor.

Students are required to write an essay on a topic from the lectures.
