Course content
Working with a light microscope. Biomembrane, phospholipid auto-aggregation. Osmosis. Plasma membrane of erythrocyte. Eukaryotic cell. Animal cell. Cell nucleus. Fluorescence microscopy - principles and application in cell biology. Tests of cell viability.

Learning outcomes
Working with light and fluorescent microscope, vizualization and analyses of cellular components.
Student is able to (after attending the course): - work with light microscope; - work in the laboratory; - perform simple experiments with eukaryotic cells, to analyze and to interpret obtained data; - write reports about the experiments and to discuss the results; - define the common strategies of cell analysis.
