Working with a light microscope. Biomembrane, phospholipid auto-aggregation. Osmosis. Plasma membrane of erythrocyte. Eukaryotic cell. Animal cell. Cell nucleus. Fluorescence microscopy - principles and application in cell biology. Tests of cell viability.

Student is able to (after attending the course): - work with light microscope; - work in the laboratory; - perform simple experiments with eukaryotic cells, to analyze and to interpret obtained data; - write reports about the experiments and to discuss the results; - define the common strategies of cell analysis. |
