Course content
Main principles and work methods in the field of "Evidence based Nursing - EBN" . Approach to EBHC- Evidence- based Healthcare and its principles in context of healthcare and health practice. Specification of methods and procedures of work in context of EBP (Evidence- based practices) and its steps- 1., 2., and 3. That means: Structural research question realized in scientific database (for example Cinhal, EBSCO) and sorting the searched resources according to their relevance to the search question. Categories of research design applied in nursing and health research. Main characteristics of creation of literature reviews.

Monologic Lecture(Interpretation, Training), Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Activating (Simulations, Games, Dramatization)
Learning outcomes
After finishing this course, students should be able to: - Describe a basic priciples of scientific work in context of Nursing Care/ evidence based practices - Specify a specific methods of steps: 1., 2., 3., in context of EBN/EBP - Realize a structural searches in scientific database in context of study program - Sort the searched resources according to their relevance to the relation of formulated search question - Distinguish the reliability of research studies in relation to applied research design - Describe main chraracteristics of creation of literature reviews
Students will be able to interpret an expertise to the topics describe in "purpose of subject".

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance, Seminar Work

Students will prepare a seminar work, focused to work in scientific database in context of chosen topic from area of nursing and health. The compulsory components in seminar work will be: a) A description of structural research stratégy together with a flow-diagram. b) An identification of used research design in two searched and relevant studies. The colloquium will be awarded on the basis of properly written and submitted seminar work. Requirements for students with an Individual Study Plan (ISP): same conditions + participation in a combined course of study and completing the test.
