| Course content |

The goal of the Expert Study Visit 2, in terms of Lower Secondary School Teacher Training in Health Education field of study, is to familiarize the students with places, institutions and workplaces, that work with children and youngsters or which are related to health and healthy lifestyle. For example, Czech Red Cross, P-centre, children's homes and infant care centre, social care centre, a chosen healthcare facilities etc. Listeners familiarize themselves with practical application of their knowledge in practice. The goal is to elaborate a written report and portfolio to obtain credits.

After passing the course, students should be able to: - Characterize the facility in which the study visit took place - Define the clientele of the facility - Name the facilities' methods of working with their clients - Provide their evaluation of the study visit and its contribution to the future profession.
Students acquire direct contact and experience with the facility and its functioning. |

Analyssis of the Student's Portfolio
A student obtains credits for physical presence at the study visit in the chosen (or assigned) facility. A student is under the obligation to elaborate a portfolio from the study visit he/she absolved. An expert will evaluate this portfolio. Self-study is based on the preparation for the study visit (familiarize yourself with the facility or organization through available information materials or web pages). |
