Specifics of a diploma thesis chapter content: quantitative/qualitative research, theoretical-summarizing DT, and practical-methodological DT in the scope of student's study program. Overview of suitable methods of data collecting and their processing. Principles of formulating a diploma thesis discussion and summary. Specifics of formulating a diploma thesis annotation and conclusion. Requirements for submitting the DT according to the school's current methodological instruction. Preparation for DT defence

Learning outcomes |
After passing the course, students should be able to: - Within the scope of their study program, specify the content of diploma thesis chapters, including quantitative/qualitative research; - Within the scope of their study program, specify the content of theoretical-summarizing diploma thesis chapters; - Specify the content of practical-methodological diploma thesis chapters; - Describe the methodology of data collecting and their processing; - Characterize the principles of a formulation of a diploma thesis discussion and conclusion; - State the specifics of a formulation of a diploma thesis summary and annotation and prepare their content; - Submit the diploma thesis according to the school's current methodological instruction; - Prepare the diploma thesis defence.
Students apply the knowledge gained in this course during the elaboration of thein DT. |

Student performance, Seminar Work
In order to obtain credits, students have to prepare a final paper: written draft including 1. the choice of a topic and specifications for the choice of: quantitative/qualitative research or concept of theoretical-summarizing DT or practical-methodological DT (all in the scope of student's study program). 2. research questions and objectives suggestion. 3. Suggestion of the names of the methods used for research. Requirements for students with an Individual Study Plan (ISP): same conditions + participation in a combined course of study. |
