Course content
Holistic concept of health; problematics of addictive behavior, problematics of prevention according to WHO, alcohol and drugs/substances, basics of addictology; means of help - contact centers, crisis services; treatment, after-treatment, other means of help (ambulant care, self-help groups), Drug enforcement policy in CR and worldwide.

Monologic Lecture(Interpretation, Training), Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming)
Learning outcomes
After passing the course, students should be able to: - Define the term prevention, - Define the term risk behavior, - Describe the principle of addictive behavior, - Characterize a healthy lifestyle, - Explain the principle of addiction prevention, - Describe the alcohol addiction, tobacco addiction, caffeine addiction, and drug (on a non-alcoholic basis) addiction, - Identify the causes and consequences of alcohol, tobacco, caffeine, and drug/substance overuse, - Characterize the risks of addictions.

Prerequisites
Students possess the basic knowledge of human biology.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written exam

Work with PC, internet connection, final paper elaboration. Requirements for students with an Individual Study Plan (ISP): same conditions + participation in a combined course of study.
