Course content
Students will become acquainted with places, institutions, and workplaces that are related to health and lifestyle.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Observation, Activating (Simulations, Games, Dramatization)
Learning outcomes
The goal of the Professional Internship 1 within the field of Health Education with a focus on education is for students to become familiar with places, institutions, and workplaces that work with children and youth or have a relation to health and lifestyle. This includes organizations such as the Czech Red Cross, P-Center, children's homes and infant care facilities, social care institutions, selected healthcare facilities, and similar. Participants will acquaint themselves with the practical application of knowledge into practice. Student?s task is to prepare a written report and a portfolio of the completed internship in order to obtain credit. During the study of the bachelor program, student can absolve two professional internships (Professional Internship 1 Professional Internship 2), in different facilities (institutions or organizations) related to the study of health education. In the subsequent master's program, students are also allowed to complete up to two professional internships. (these are part of the elective subjects section, category Bb)
After completing the course, students should be able to: Characterize the institution where the internship took place. Define the clientele of the given institution. List the methods used to work with clients in the given institution. Evaluate the internship from their own perspective and assess its contribution to their future profession.
Prerequisites
Orientation in institutions and workplaces that work with children and youth or have a relation to health and lifestyle.

Assessment methods and criteria
Analyssis of the Student's Portfolio

Students will become acquainted with places, institutions, and workplaces that are related to health and lifestyle. To obtain credit, students will need to prepare a written report (portfolio) based on the completed internship.
