General characteristics of the disease in childhood. Fundamentals of care for a sick child. Diseases of the respiratory system. Allergy. Diseases bloodstream. Diseases of the digestive system. Diseases of the blood. Kidney and urinary tract. Diseases of the endocrine glands. Infectious diseases of childhood. Imunoalterarční disease. Acute conditions in children. Central nervous system diseases. Defects of the spine and limbs. Social Pediatrics.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the basic disease of childhood, which are important both in terms of general education, both in terms of pedagogical practice of future teachers. Knowledge and skills of these issues will help students to behave properly when working with a sick child in educational practice.
After completing the course, students will be able to: - List the basic disease of childhood; - Indicate the etiology, pathogenesis, symptoms, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of selected diseases; - Apply their knowledge in educational practice.

Prerequisites

Knowledge about the structure of the human body and its organs, their function in health and function of organs pathologically altered.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Seminar Work
Participation in seminars (min. 80%). Processing, submission and defense of the life story of a sick child with acute or chronic illnesses.
