Learning outcomes
|
The aim of this course is to introduce the didactics of the course - Human Biology. It presents the methodology of the subject in terms of the curriculum of the school education. It prepares the future teachers to teach this subject.
After completing the course, the students should be able to: - analyze the Framework education program for secondary vocational education; - design the teaching according to the level of students and the school requirements; - set goals and create teaching tasks developing the students' abilities; - apply teaching methods in the classroom human biology; - propose practical exercises useful in teaching human biology; - perform content and didactic analysis of textbooks that are used in teaching; - choose adequate educational resources for teaching human biology.

Curriculum and expected outputs of somatology in the general educational program for secondary vocational education; Educational documents; Inter-subject relations in teaching somatology; Textbooks for teaching somatology, requirement for textbooks, textbook features, analysis of textbooks; Personality of a somatology teacher; Preparation for teaching; Organizational forms of somatology teaching; Didactic resources; Teaching principles; Adequate teaching methods in somatology teaching , with an emphasis on activating teaching methods; Spatial and material conditions for teaching; Methods of assessment of a pupil in the classroom somatology; Teaching tasks. Requirements Each student prepares a detailed guidance package for 2 teaching units on a given topic (the organ system or any part thereof) which should be submitted (in the system LMS-uniform) at least one week before granting the credit. Teacher supervision and evaluation of the individual work is a prerequisite for obtaining the credit. Mandatory components of the methodical package: thematic plan of human biology (e.g. in the field of study 53-41-M / 007 Nursing assistant), Written test and preparation for 2 teaching units. Preparation must include: the name of school, subject, grade level, additional information (date, time, time allocation), thematic unit, the topic of education, the content of teaching, evaluation key, pedagogic-educational objectives, teaching methods, equipment, teaching plan, literature for teachers and students, homework, evaluation of the realized lessons. Further, compulsory part of the methodological package is a list of references, necessary for its processing. The main thematic units in teaching somatology: Basic characteristics of the living matter; Functional morphology of tissues; Basic orientation on the human body; Musculoskeletal system and body growth; Blood; Defense mechanisms; Bloodstream; Respiratory system; Digestive system; Excretory organs; Regulation of an organism - humoral control; Sensory organs; Cutaneous system; Genital organs; Nervous system.
