Course content
Projects and programs aimed at health promotion and primary prevention - overview of organizations, programs, and projects (under control of SZÚ - National Institute of Public Health). Sources of grants. The needs of schools and institutions in the creation and realization of health promotion, health education, risk behavior prevention, and health literacy increasing projects. Health Education topics suitable for project activity. Phases of the health promotion projects creation. School analysis (School Educational Programme) regarding the area of health promotion. Setting the objectives, tasks, and choosing means for the project creation. Efficiency of the health education projects on the pupil's achieved learning results in the educational field of Health Education (overview of Czech and foreign researches). Project draft, creation, and presentation of the project. Discussion with professionals, who are experienced in the realization of successful health education, health promotion, health literacy increasing, and risk behavior preventing project.

Learning outcomes
After passing the course, students should be able to: - Justify the meaning of creation and realization of projects in health education, as a crucial part of the educational process at all types of schools and school institutions, while taking into consideration the actual level of pupil's cognitive and behavioral dimension regarding the area of health and lifestyle, - Categorize potential sources, grants, donators, etc. for the health promotion, health education, risk behavior preventing and health literacy increasing projects, possible to realize within the educational reality, - Sum up the particular stages, steps, and phases of project preparation: project preparation, creation of the project, realization of the project, evaluation of the project, - Suggest, prepare and present model projects, serving the School Educational Programme (real or fictional) - short-term, middle-term, long-term, - Analyze and evaluate the needs of the school in a context of project activity related to health promotion, health education, health literacy development, and risk behavior prevention, - Formulate and specify the project objectives and partial tasks for particular grades and topics found in the subject of Health Education, - Evaluate the efficiency of health promotion, health education, risk behavior preventing and health literacy increasing projects realization on the pupil's achieved learning results in the educational field of Health Education, - Debate with professionals about the mission of the project activity regarding health education, possible pitfalls, financial sources and efficiency of the projects, etc., - During the teaching practice, be willing to cooperate/lead the health promotion, health education, risk behavior preventing, and health literacy increasing projects creation and realization.
After passing the course, a student acquires the competencies to: - Prepare a concept of a project focused on health promotion (especially its objectives and needs) - Identify the opportunities for health promotion in the context of project activity - Prove the relation between the schedule of a project and particular key activities of a project Make assumptions about financial demands on a project realization
