Course content |
The Right to children's life and health as a fundamental human right. Life's and health's protection of children according to the General Human Rights Declaration, the Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms, the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union, the Constitutional Act no. 1/1993 Collection of Law, the Czech Republic Constitution and the Constitutional Act no. 2/1993 Collection of Law, about the declaration of the Charter of Fundamental Rights and Freedoms. The chosen questions of the Criminal Code - Life and health protection of a child in Criminal Code, child protection against crimes, criminal liability of juveniles, other criminal deeds of children under the age of 15. Drugs protection - Child protection against drugs and other addictive substances, alcohol, and tobacco. Child protection against bullying. Social and legal protection of Children. Proper Supervision.

Learning outcomes |
The objective of the course Law for Health Education Teachers is to inform students about the legislation according to the General Human Rights Declaration, the Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms, the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union, the Constitutional Act no. 1/1993 Collection of Law, the Czech Republic Constitution, and the Constitutional Act no. 2/1993 Collection of Law, about the declaration of the Charter of Fundamental Rights and Freedoms regarding the basic human rights and freedoms. The focus is on the Right to Life, the Right to Preserving Human Dignity, and the Right to Protection of Health. Another objective of this course is to inform students about the legal regulations containing regulation of socio-pathologic phenomena related to health - namely addictive substances abuse (alcohol, narcotics, and psychotropic substances, nicotine). With respect to everything mentioned above, the focus is also on the chosen law provision no. 40/2009 Collection of Law, of The Penal (criminal) Code (merits of criminal offenses of Endangering The Youth Care, Seduction to Sexual Intercourse, Serving Alcohol to a Child, Sexual Abuse, Intercourse among Relatives, Unauthorised Production and Other Disposal with Narcotic and Psychotropic Substances and Poisons and other related deeds, Spreading of Drug Addiction, Spreading of Contagious Human Disease) and of the act no. 218/2003 Collection of Law, about Court Procedures for Juveniles. Another objective of this course is to inform students about the legislation according to the Act no 561/2004 Collection of Law, of the Education Act. The focus is primarily on the Rights and Duties of Pupils, Students, and Legal Representatives of Children and Juveniles. When it comes to health education, Proper Supervision, Bullying, and Social and Legal Protection of Children endangered by socio-pathological phenomena (related to health - namely addictive substances) are to be included.
After passing the course, students should be able to: Master the legislation of the fundamental human rights according to the international treaties (the Genereal Human Rights Declaration, the Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms, the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union) the Constitutional Act no. 1/1993 Collection of Law, the Czech Republic Constitution, and the Constitutional Act no. 2/1993 Collection of Law, about the declaration of the Charter of Fundamental Rights and Freedoms. Master the legislation of the Act no. 40/2009 Collection of Law, Criminal Code, Master the legislation of the Act no. 2018/2003 Collection of Law, Act of the Court Procedures for Juveniles, Master the legislation of the Act no. 65/2017 about the protection of health against harmful effects of addictive substances, Master the legislation of the Act no. 167/1998 about Addictive Substances, Master the legislation of the Act no. 561/2004 Collection of Law, Education Act, Master the legislation of the Act no. 89/2012 Collection of Law, Civil Code, Master the legislation of the Act no. 262/2006 Collection of Law, Labour Code, Master the legislation of the Act no. 359/1999 Collection of Law, about Social and Legal Protection of Children with relation to the objectives of the "Law for Health Education Teachers" course. |
