Course content
Basic terminology concerning hygiene and epidemiology, hygienic norms and precaution. Causes and spread of infectious diseases. Infectious diseases (respiratory, venereal, alimentary, zoonotic, parenteral transmission infections). Topic concerning environmental hygiene in general (water, air, noise, light etc), and more specifically topics concerning school hygiene (educative process, biorhythms, hygiene of the learning process etc.)

Monologic Lecture(Interpretation, Training), Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Work with Text (with Book, Textbook)
Learning outcomes
After passing this course students should be able to: - explain the main terms concerning hygiene and epidemiology - speak about general and special hygiene - define hygiene in school environment - describe the most common infectious diseases (respiratory, venereal, alimentary, zoonotic, parenteral transmission infections) - define the basic causes and spread of infectious diseases in terms of epidemic, pandemic, etc. - provide information about the vaccination system in the Czech Republic
After passing this course students will be able to demonstrate their knowledge according to the course objectives.
