Course content |
Terminology concerning all of the literacies (digital, computer, and health literacy). Determinants of health, lifestyle, proactive approach to health, health promotion. System of health and social care in the context of health literacy. Implementation of digital technologies into the health education lessons. Digital technologies in the context of FEP (Framework Educational Programme). Actual level of digital technologies and health promotion programs implementation at schools. Influence of the fast development of digital technologies and their increasing usage on individuals and society. Promotion of critical thinking in the context of collecting health information through digital technologies. Digital technologies and occupational safety and health, addictive behavior prevention. Internet safety. Personal privacy and data protection. Options for exploiting the digital technologies for increasing health promotion at schools.

Learning outcomes |
After passing the course, students should be able to: - Explain the differences between the terms digital literacy and computer literacy, - Clarify the term health literacy in a socio-cultural context, - Sum up the advantages and disadvantages of using digital technologies in the health promotion increasing lessons, - Using the digital technologies, collect, analyze and critically evaluate the information about health literacy, - Use digital technologies in the context of health education, - Accept and critically assess the new stimuli in the area of digital technologies, - Understand the fast development of the technologies and their importance for individual personal development, - Discuss the influence of the development of digital health literacy on society, - Safely and responsibly, use digital technologies for the health education lessons
Students acquire competence concerning the formation and development of digital literacy in combination with the development of digital health literacy. Students will be able to use the current digital educational sources in the educational practice of health education. Students will be able to create their digital educational sources for health education lessons. |
