Course content
History and beginning of health physical education in CR, the current state of health physical education and its application in an educational process at primary and secondary schools in CR. Construction and function of the musculoskeletal system, gross motor skills control. Hygiene principles of correct sitting position.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Lecture, Demonstration, Training in job and motor Skils
  • Attendace - 4 hours per semester
  • Preparation for the Exam - 10 hours per semester
  • Semestral Work - 6 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
After passing the course, students should be able to: - Characterize the concept of the Health Physical Education course, - Describe the history and beginning of health physical education in CR and worldwide, - Explain the construction and function of the musculoskeletal system, - Explain the principle of motor system control, - Sum up the hygiene principles of correct sitting position, - Apply the knowledge in the educational process.
The competencies are the same as the course objectives.
Prerequisites
Knowledge in human anatomy and physiology.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written exam, Student performance

- Elaboration of a final paper on the chosen topic; - Practical presentation (demonstration of final paper); - 80% attendance in seminars/tutorials.
