Course content |
Introduction. Czech Republic legislation and security system. Terminology. IRS (Integrated Rescue System). History of IRS in CR. Coordination of IRS sections during an intervention. Task of police of CR. Fire Department of CR. Work of paramedics during an emergency. Means of individual protection. Citizens protection during emergencies. Communication during critical situations. Critical management. Specifics of citizens protection at secondary school. Teaching methods of citizens protection.

Learning outcomes |
After passing the course, students should be able to: - Define the terminology concerning citizen's protection, emergency, IZS (Integrated Rescue System - IRS), - Define the citizens protection in relation to the pedagogical field of study, - Divide and characterize the types of emergencies, - List the particular processes during critical situations, - Apply in practice the acquired knowledge, - Describe the system of citizens protection and explain the coordination of IZS (IRS) sections in Czech Republic, - Describe the legislation in relation to the citizens protection, - List the IRS sections and be familiar with their use, - Use the elements of individual protection.
After passing the course, students will be able to clarify the meaning and importance of citizens protection during emergencies. Moreover, they will be well educated about the basic citizens protection tasks (warning, seeking shelter, evacuation, emergency survival) according to the RVP (Framework Educational Program) and in model situations simulating threat, danger and emergencies. Students will know how to act and protect themselves (they know about the means of prevention). |

Written exam, Seminar Work
Active participation in seminars/lectures, elaboration of an interactive study presentation on a given topic, and submission into STAG + its presentation. |
