Course content
Subject, objectives and importance of pediatrics as a field of study, psychomotor development of a child, childhood respiratory system disorders/diseases, childhood gastrointestinal tract disorders/diseases, childhood urinary and reproductive system disorders/diseases, hematological and oncological childhood disorders/diseases, childhood heart disorders/diseases, skin, sight and hearing disorders/diseases, sexually transmitted infections, adolescent disorders. Diseases of affluence (diabetes, disorders/diseases of muscular system, asthma and allergies, oncologic disorders/diseases, cardiovascular disorders/diseases), lifestyle risk factors, prevention.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic Lecture(Interpretation, Training), Work with Text (with Book, Textbook), Activating (Simulations, Games, Dramatization)
Learning outcomes
After passing the course, students should be able to: - Characterize pediatrics as a field of study, - Explain the essence of psychomotor development of a child, - Describe particular childhood diseases, concerning particular organ systems - definition of the disease, causes, symptoms, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of the disease, - Analyze the disorders of adolescents, - Explain the essence of the diseases of affluence, - Characterize the particular diseases, - State the examples of prevention for the particular diseases, - Describe the risk factors of the diseases, - Apply the preventive measures in practice.
Students prove their knowledge concerning the course objectives.
