Course content
Scope, objectives and importance of paediatrics, psychomotor development of children, respiratory diseases of childhood diseases of the digestive system in children, diseases of the genitourinary system in children, endocrine diseases of childhood neurological disorder of childhood hematologic and oncologic diseases of childhood illness heart of childhood skin diseases, visual and auditory organs, venereal diseases, disorders of adolescence. Noninfectious diseases of mass occurrence (diabetes, musculoskeletal diseases, asthma and allergies, cancer, cardiovascular disease) risk factors, lifestyle, prevention.

Learning outcomes
After completing the course, students should be able to: - characterize the field of pediatrics, - explain the essence of psychomotor development, - describe the various diseases of childhood on individual systems - the definition of the disease, causes, symptoms, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diseases; - analyze disorders of adolescence, - explain the essence of non-infectious diseases of mass occurrence (diseases of civilization) - characterize individual disease, - give examples of prevention in various diseases, - describe risk factors for the disease, - apply preventive measures in practice.
After completing the course the student is able to characterize the underlying disease in childhood and adulthood - describe clinical symptoms and focus on the prevention of certain diseases.
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge in the field of dentistry and pediatrics.

Written exam
