Course content
1. Ontogenetic development periodisation. Embryonic and fetal period. Pregnancy, parturition, signs of full-term foetus. 2. Division of human age. Period of newborn, infant, toddler, preschool age. School age (younger school age, older school age). Adolescent age and other developmental periods of human age. 3. Cell: structure, function of organelles, cell division. Tissues: epithelial, connective, muscle and nerve. 4. Skeletal system: the shape, surface, internal structure, growth and development, bone connections. Skeletal system: Skeleton of the torso (spine, chest), skull bone, upper and lower extremities skeleton. 5. Muscular system: structure, composition and properties of muscles. Description of major muscle groups. 6. Blood: quantity, composition and functions of blood. The heart: shape, structure and activity. Blood vessels: structure (arteries, capillaries, veins). Greater and lesser blood circulation. 7. Lymphatic system. Structure and functions of the spleen. 8. Respiratory system: external and internal respiration, nose, nasal cavity, larynx, trachea, lungs. 9. Digestive system: oral cavity, pharynx, esophagus, stomach, small intestine, large intestine, pancreas, liver. 10. Excretory system: kidneys, urinary tract. Cutaneous system: skin structure, additional skin formations. 11. Visual system: eye structure, additional eye organs. Organs of hearing and equilibrium. Gustatory and olfactory organs. 12. Nervous system: the reflex arch, the dorsal spinal cord, medulla oblongata, pons Varolii, cerebellum, midbrain, Diencephalon, Cerebrum. 13. Cranial nerves, spinal nerves, autonomic nervous system. 14. System of glands with internal secretion. 15. Male sexual system. Female sexual system.

Learning outcomes
This course is to acquaint students with the basics of human anatomy and physiology. Discussed in particular the principles of growth and development in ontogenesis with an emphasis on morphological and physiological traits of school and adolescent age.
Students will be able to characterize the different stages of human ontogenesis. Students will be able to describe and explain the basic structure and function of the human body, taking into account the specifics of different age.
Prerequisites
Graduation of Human anatomy in the range of grammar school study.
