Course content
|
Water management and its development in the Czech Republic, basic concepts, division of water management and adjustments to waterworks: streams, weirs, ponds, small dams, valley reservoirs. Outflow control, water management systems, water supply and water treatment, waste water and waste water treatment, protection of water sources, revitalization.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to introduce to the students basic theoretical, practical and legislative information from the area of water management and water protection. The course focuses on understanding the basic issues associated with water protection and water management. Information about this course was translated to English within the project Internationalization of the Faculty of Physical Culture, Palacký University, Olomouc, No. CZ.1.07/2.2.00/28.0028, co-funded by the European Social Fund and the Government of the Czech Republic.
Upon completion of the course the student is able to describe and explain the basic concepts of water management and water protection.
