Course content
1) Communication with emergency operators. 2) Organization of the rescue chain and improved movement of ambulance cars. 3) Navigation of land and air rescue systems. 4) Structure of rescue squads (paramedic emergency, medical emergency, rendez-vous, air ambulance). 5) Medical Emergency and its position within the Integrated Rescue Systems of the Czech Republic. 6) Extrication of individuals.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic Lecture(Interpretation, Training), Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Demonstration, Activating (Simulations, Games, Dramatization)
  • Preparation for the Course Credit - 5 hours per semester

  • Homework for Teaching - 20 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to introduce to the students the basic roles of medical rescuers in case of emergency. Information about this course was translated to English within the project Internationalization of the Faculty of Physical Culture, Palacký University, Olomouc, No. CZ.1.07/2.2.00/28.0028, co-funded by the European Social Fund and the Government of the Czech Republic.
Upon completion of the course the student is able to: - Start and organize the rescue chain - Describe the principles of Medical Emergency - Locate a heliport and navigate a helicopter for landing - Effectively assist in extrication of individuals

- 100% participation in classes. - Submission of a seminar paper.
