Course content
Lecture topics (lectures are of a mass design and are intended for all students enrolled in the semester) 1. Introduction into adapted physical activity (APA). 2. Sport for individuals with special needs. 3. Physical education for individuals with special needs. 4. Leisure physical activity programmes for individuals with special needs. 5. Competences in APA, APA study programmes in the Czech Republic and abroad, organization in APA, study resources in APA, APA networks in the Czech Republic and abroad, examples of good practice in APA. Seminar topics (students to enrol in open seminar groups - according to their time availability) 1. APA for persons with visual impairment, selecting physical activity for individuals with visual impairment. 2. APA for persons with physical impairment, selecting physical activity for persons with physical impairment. 3. APA for persons with mental impairment, APA for persons with combined impairment. 4. APA for persons with hearing impairment. 5. Final seminar (for each seminar group) ? credit test (written) + project presentation. - Lectures last 2 hours, seminars last 3 hours, final seminars lasts 4 hours.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to present adapted physical activity as a kinanthropological scientific discipline. The innovation of the course was supported by the following project: Promotion of interdisciplinary studies and innovation of study courses at Palacky University, Olomouc, CZ.1.07/2.2.00/28.0091.
Upon completion of the course the student is knowledgeable about the issue of adapted physical activity and is able to deliver physical activity programmes in school, sport and leisure environment.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance, Systematic Observation of Student

1. 80% attendance 2. Project - Group (4-5 member group) Power Point presentation + optional appendixes (as per teacher instructions). 3. Written test
