Course content
1. Sport performance, bio-energy factors of sport performance. 2. Adaptation is sports training - load, loading, recovery processes, training exercise. 3. Fitness preparation in sports training. 4. Development of strength capabilities. 5. Development of speed capabilities. 6. Development of endurance capabilities. 7. Development of flexibility. 8. Technical preparation in sports training. 9. Development of coordination capabilities. 10. Tactical preparation in sports training, tactics and strategy in sports competition. 11. Structure and stages of sports training. 12. Talent in sports training, specifics of sports preparation of young people, early specialization.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Lecture, Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming)
  • Attendace - 6 hours per semester
  • Preparation for the Exam - 42 hours per semester
  • Semestral Work - 16 hours per semester
  • Homework for Teaching - 14 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
Throughout the course the students learn about theoretical knowledge required for the management of the training process of athletes of all age categories and performance levels. The students broaden their knowledge of the content of sports performance, sports training, training condition, and knowledge of the structure of sports performance. The student will be able to effectively use the acquired knowledge together with knowledge gained in other courses in various stages of sports training. The course is horizontally followed by Theory of sport and Pedagogy of sports training. Information about this course was translated to English within the project Internationalization of the Faculty of Physical Culture, Palacký University, Olomouc, No. CZ.1.07/2.2.00/28.0028, co-funded by the European Social Fund and the Government of the Czech Republic.
Upon completion of the course the students have the knowledge of sport performance and training process and its control that enable them to: - Analyze the structure of sport performance and recommend an adequate training plan with respect to a specific training stage, training period and training condition of athletes. - With respect to various training components select suitable training methods adapted to the set objectives, developmental specifics, etc.
Prerequisites
The students are expected to demonstrate knowledge of KPK/FAN, KPK/FYO, KAS/ZST and apply this knowledge in the KAS/STR1 course.

Written exam, Seminar Work
