Course content
The course focuses on training swimming and swimming training methods using various swimming aids. - Continuous method (uninterrupted effort), - Slow interval training, - Quick interval training, - Speed training, - Training of starts, turn and relay passes, - Training aimed at the function of upper and lower extremities, - Competition warm-up, - Competition - 400 m medley, videotaped, - Video analysis, - Training with swimming aids.

Lecture, Monologic Lecture(Interpretation, Training), Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Observation, Training in job and motor Skils

Learning outcomes
Throughout the course the students: - Learn about the training methods in race swimming through practical demonstrations, - Gain practical experience by organizing swimming competitions, - Use specific aids in training of swimming, - Learn to identify incorrect swimming technique (video analysis). Information about this course was translated to English within the project Internationalization of the Faculty of Physical Culture, Palacký University, Olomouc, No. CZ.1.07/2.2.00/28.0028, co-funded by the European Social Fund and the Government of the Czech Republic.
Upon completion of the course the student: - Has practical experience in the methods of swimming training, - Is able to identify incorrect swimming techniques, knows the methods of correcting any mistakes, - Has practical experience in the development of swimming performance in a training process, - Is able to participate in the preparation of a swimming competition, - Has practical experience as a swimming referee, - Has practical experience in preparing a swimming competition - Can swim 400 m medley.
Prerequisites
- Completion of KAS/PL2 course exam, minimum achievement C = 20 points, - Completion of 80% of the content of the KAS/SPPL1 course.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written exam, Student performance, Visitation, Seminar Work

- Active participation in classes - Seminar paper, - Participation in a competition in the capacity of a referee, - Preparation of a venue for a competition, - Observation of swimming training, minimum of 10 lessons, - Swimming 400 m medley in a specified time limit.
