Course content
Fitness training in handball. Game performance (description, characteristics). Diagnostics. Coaching a team in a match. Particulars of women's sports training. Development of speed and endurance. General strength training. Development of swing and take-off power. Individual attack game activities (extension study). Individual defence game activities (getting a ball, blocking). 1:1 situations. Attack combinations. Methodological and organizational forms. Use of the "Easy-sport graphic" system in the training process.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is teach students the knowledge of sports training in handball that can be used in elementary and secondary schools in PE lessons. The students will know the basic principles of fitness training in handball, will learn about the specifics of women's sports training in handball and will extend their knowledge of game combinations in handball. Throughout the course the students will also acquire information about basic diagnostics in handball and game performance in handball. Information about this course was translated to English within the project Internationalization of the Faculty of Physical Culture, Palacký University, Olomouc, No. CZ.1.07/2.2.00/28.0028, co-funded by the European Social Fund and the Government of the Czech Republic.
The student will use the acquired information, knowledge and experience to understand the principles of handball training and game performance in handball. The student can use the acquired knowledge and skills in PE lessons as a teacher in elementary and secondary schools and in handball training as a coach. The student will learn the basic principles of coaching a match, women's sports training, diagnostics in handball and game performance. The student will have a command of training and improving game combinations in handball training. The student will learn to use the Easy-sport Graphic software.

Student performance, Analysis of linguistic, Didactic Test, Dialog, Systematic Observation of Student, Seminar Work

Active participation in seminars and lectures. Seminar paper - software-based processing of a training unit. Practical didactic presentations. 100% attendance.
