Course content
1. Sport, sport performance, sports training system with an emphasis on training methods, forms and means, controlling activity of the coach. 2. Training load as an adaptation stimulus in sports training. Didactic and specific principles of sports training - significance for the effectiveness of the training process. Pedagogical aspects of individualized load and loading in sports training. 3. Training unit as the basic organizational form of sports training, application of pedagogical, psychological, biological and other principles in controlled sports training. 4. Technical preparation, pedagogical aspects of training, improvement and stabilization (methods, feedback, transfer ...) 5. Fitness preparation (strength and conditioning), pedagogical aspects, particulars of children and youth. 6. Strength, theoretical aspects, specifics of training of children and youth. 7. Speed, theoretical aspects, specifics of training of children and youth. 8. Endurance, theoretical aspects, specifics of training of children and youth. 9. Flexibility, theoretical aspects, specifics of training of children and youth. 10. Coordination, theoretical aspects, specifics of training of children and youth. 11. Tactical preparation, theoretical background: characteristics, strategy and tactics, tactical behaviour and its stages, components influencing the course of a competitive situation, training of tactical behaviour, strategic plan. 12. training cycles, annual training cycle, training periods, specifics of periodization in children and young people. 13. Sports training as a long-term process, stages of sports training. 14. Sports training of children and young people, load and loading from a pedagogical, psychological and biological perspective; early specialization, significance of competitions. Specific requirements for a coach.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic Lecture(Interpretation, Training), Methods of Written Work, Projection (static, dynamic)

Learning outcomes
The aim of this subject is to master basic knowledge in the field of sports training as a prerequisite to controlling the training process. Sports training is presented as a systematic longitudinal process. Students are informed about theoretical fundamentals of the following issues: sports performance as a final objective in sports; training load as an adaptive stimulus in sports training (including recovery processes); components of sports training - technical (including coordination), tactical, psychological and fitness training (theoretical fundamentals, training of strength and power, speed, endurance, flexibility), longitudinal division of sports training, periodization, type of training cycles including sports unit, specifics of youth and women. Information about this course was translated to English within the project Internationalization of the Faculty of Physical Culture, Palacký University, Olomouc, No. CZ.1.07/2.2.00/28.0028, co-funded by the European Social Fund and the Government of the Czech Republic.
Upon completion of the course the students are able to: Determine the main factors of sports performance, Manipulate with training load with respect to the current training condition and developmental and other differences, Control the training process on a system basis including the application of various types of training plans and their modifications.
Prerequisites
Knowledge of other courses of the study plan aimed at the training process.

Assessment methods and criteria
Didactic Test, Analyssis of the Student's Portfolio, Seminar Work, Written exam

Active participation (min. 80%) Seminar work and powerpoint presentation Credit test at the end of the semester (min 70%) The student is required to work with the learning objects, which have been created for the concrete subject and are available for authorized students in LMS EDIS.
