Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to introduce to the students the history and development of judo. Another aim is to teach the basics of falling techniques and selected standing and mat techniques. Free practice ? randori. Advanced students as per agreement => training in a club and preparation for the Czech academic games. Information about this course was translated to English within the project Internationalization of the Faculty of Physical Culture, Palacký University, Olomouc, No. CZ.1.07/2.2.00/28.0028, co-funded by the European Social Fund and the Government of the Czech Republic.
Competences Upon completion of the course the student is able to: - Perform various falling techniques, - Perform various training techniques such as pulls, pushes, resistance, - Explain various combat games, - Describe and perform various standing techniques (e.g. o-soto-gari, o-goshi) and mat techniques (e.g. kesa-gatame)
