Course content
- General and fitness exercise, - Acrobatic training, - Exercise with sports tools (gymballs, practising bars, skipping ropes), - Exercise on equipment (wall bars, small trampoline, vaulting box), correct performance, training and methods of use, - Entertaining exercise and gymnastic games, - Observing safety principles, provisions of assistance and rescue.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to teach and improve the technical performance of basic gymnastic skills in general gymnastics and to highlight didactic issues associated with their performance. Information about this course was translated to English within the project Internationalization of the Faculty of Physical Culture, Palacký University, Olomouc, No. CZ.1.07/2.2.00/28.0028, co-funded by the European Social Fund and the Government of the Czech Republic.
Upon completion of the course the student is able to: - Perform required movement skills, - Select suitable gymnastic exercises and adapt them to the needs, interests and possibilities of gymnasts, - Assess the quality of main movement sections, identify clear causes of incorrect movement and use appropriate corrective instructions.
Prerequisites
The student has knowledge and command of movement skills in elementary gymnastics (applied exercise, gymnastic posture, basic positions of the body and body parts, terminology of basic positions and movements, drill practice), knows and can perform basic movement skills and exercise forms on gymnastic equipment (main and auxiliary) and using gymnastic tools.
