Course content
- History of athletics - Development of training methods - Theory of development of physical skills in younger school-aged children - Theory of development of physical skills in older school-aged children - Theory of development of speed - Theory of development of strength - Theory of development of endurance - Theory of development of coordination - Reservoir of exercises for speed development - Reservoir of exercises for endurance development - Reservoir of exercises for strength development - Reservoir of exercises for coordination development

Learning activities and teaching methods
Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Training in job and motor Skils, Activating (Simulations, Games, Dramatization)
  • Attendace - 26 hours per semester
  • Semestral Work - 15 hours per semester
  • Homework for Teaching - 15 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to present to the students a comprehensive overview of athletic training of children and youth in the area of development of speed, strength, coordination and endurance skills.
Upon completion of the course the student is able to produce a training plan to be used in children and youth sports clubs aimed at fitness training.
Prerequisites
Completion of the following subjects: AT1, AT2, KAT1, KAT2.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance

Seminar paper on the application of athletic means in fitness preparation of children and young people in a specific sport, group presentation.
