Course content
Units 16, 17, 18 from the Textbook Berliner Platz neu 2. U 16) Schule und danach: discuss school, training and further education, plans and wishes, expressing opinion, understanding the information texts. Grammar: Expressing the future: present time verb + time, clauses with dass, perfect with the auxiliary verb haben/sein and the past participle. U 17) Die neue Wohnung : description of the apartment, talking about the furniture, expressing wishes, understanding the craft tips/advices. Grammar: prepositions with dative and accusative, conjunctive using würde + infinitive, conjunctive using hätte. U 18) Mobil in der Stadt: discuss advantages and disadvantages of vehicles, talk about conditions, communicate what you do (not) like doing, communicate what I always/occasionally do. Grammar: Indicating consequences: deshalb, verb werden in the present tense and preterit, passive, verb lassen.

Learning outcomes
The second semester of a four-semester course concentrates on practising all the language competencies: speaking, listening, reading and writing - for every day life and work.
Development of language skills in general German(for every day life and work): - speaking (performance, interaktion) - listening - reading - writing Output language level - A2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
Prerequisites
Recommended input language knowledge for this course: A1 - A2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

Assessment methods and criteria
Mark, Oral exam, Student performance, Written exam

Credit: 1. Course attendance - maximum of 2 absences. 2. Regular home preparation, especially written home works. (Absence from the classes is in no case a reason for being unprepared in the following tutorial. If the student is not prepared, he can be regarded as being absent.) Warning: Students are obliged to finish every course by the end of exam period of the semester in which they enrolled for the course (and only on the terms set by the teacher)!
