Active participation in a conference in English language. The timetable of the conference will be sent to students' university e-mails. The conference takes place on 15 January 2019

Learning outcomes |
The main aim of the subject is to provide the PhD students from the Philosophical Faculty at Palacký University with an opportunity to participate actively in a scholarly conference and to present the outcomes of their doctoral dissertations in English language.
Ability to prepare a scholarly contribution and present it at a scholarly conference in English language. Ability to discuss the issues presented during the presentations in English language. |
Prerequisites |
Required are the skills in English language at level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, so that the students are able to prepare and then present their contribution/work in the target language and participate in the following discussion.

Assessment methods and criteria |
Student performance, Dialog
Students are obliged to have a contribution at the conference in the extent of approximately 15 minutes. They must be able to react on the questions by their colleagues in the audience. Students have to participate in the whole conference. They have to send their contribution to jakub.hamza@upol.cz by 31 December 2018. Contributions handed in later won't be accepted. By 8 January 2019 they'll be sent back a corrected version of their contributions to their university mails. The conference takes place on 15 January 2019 |
