Topics: A detailed introduction to the internet, the potential of web browsers, the most suitable ways of searching the network; a list of pages that will help students in their English studies. Working with a range of online dictionaries -explanatory, translation, specialist & pictorial, synonyms, antonyms, monolingual dictionaries etc. to help write professional texts and prepare for examinations and specialized subjects. British National Corpus. Working with programs to find stable phrases (collocations). Online Presentation: Suitable tools for own presentations. Work with pictures, create pictures from text, create small stories in the form of comics, online postcards. Creating a basic web page for the possibility of links to any source of information.

After completing the course students will be able to: - work with online dictionaries and search the British National Corpus, - create custom images, comics, online postcards, etc. - create powerpoints and other presentations for study and lecture purposes, - place files and links to a group/student wiki, - create own online presentations, use free hosting and domains for presentation and study purposes.
