Course content
|
The language course is aimed at developing, improving and practising skills in speaking, writing, listening and reading. The course follows the textbook English File Intermediate Plus, 4th Edition, lessons 7 and 8.

Learning outcomes
|
Upon completion of the course, students should be able to: - actively use vocabulary related to money, assigned phrasal verbs - be proficient in vocabulary related to live entertainment, looking after yourself, wars and battles, historic buildings - master and correctly use the given grammar structures: phrasal verbs, verb patterns, have sth done, the passive, defining and non-defining relative clauses - demonstrate knowledge of the English Phonetic Alphabet (IPA)

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Student performance, Didactic Test
- carrying out all tasks assigned by the teacher - active lesson participation - at least 80% attendance - active self-study - hand in 1 piece of writing; topics and formats will be specified by the teacher - passing the credit test (the passing line for the test is 70%) Requirements for students with ISP: - students must complete all tasks set by the teacher during and at the end of the semester - attendance is not compulsory but the terms of credit tests must be observed
