Course content
The course deals with selected basic grammatical phenomena, namely the past simple, continuous, past perfect. It also focuses on expressing present and past habits and states, the passive and modals of deduction. The course includes vocabulary from the field of sport, relationships, films, human body. It is also engaged in practicing correct pronunciation of English sounds.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic Lecture(Interpretation, Training), Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Work with Text (with Book, Textbook), Activating (Simulations, Games, Dramatization)
Learning outcomes
After the course, students should be able to demonstrate their knowledge of: - vocabulary from lessons 5 - 6 (textbook: English File Intermediate, 4th Edition) - grammar structures from the above-mentioned lessons - phonetic symbols for transcription of the sound form of English

Active knowledge of English.

Assessment methods and criteria
Analysis of linguistic, Written exam

- carrying out all tasks assigned by the teacher - active lesson participation - active self-study - passing the credit test (the passing line for the test is 70%) Students with ISP compensate the absence by submitting an independent work according to the teacher's assignment and complete the credit.
