Course content
The course deals with selected basic grammatical phenomena, namely the present simple, continuous and present perfect tense. It also focuses on state verbs, verb tenses for narration and conjunctions. The course also includes vocabulary from the field of friendship and shopping. It is also engaged in practicing correct pronunciation of English vowels and consonants and reading words in English phonetic alphabet.

Monologic Lecture(Interpretation, Training), Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Work with Text (with Book, Textbook)
Learning outcomes
After the course, students should be able to demonstrate their knowledge of: - vocabulary from lessons 3 - 4 (textbook: English File Intermediate, 4th Edition) - grammar structures from the above-mentioned lessons - phonetic symbols for transcription of the sound form of English
By the end of the course, the student will have achieved the knowledge of the subject matter of lessons 2 - 3 of English File Intermediate.

Active knowledge of English.

Oral exam, Student performance, Analysis of linguistic, Written exam

- active lesson participation - active self-study - passing the credit test (the passing line for the test is 70%)
