Course content
Several chapters from LEECH, Geoffrey N. Meaning and the English verb will be used as content and support. Routledge, 2014, which will be specified at the beginning of the class.

Learning outcomes
Upon completion of the course, students will be able to: " comprehensively summarize and apply the grammatical knowledge acquired so far based on professional terminology, " apply typological differences between English and Czech to their own translations of stylistically diverse texts, " demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of English grammar in individual presentations (possibly in comparison with English), " interpret possible culture-specific differences between English and Czech in the analysis of practical examples.
